For a change I didn’t have to get up, packing my bag and getting back on my back. No, this morning I had to be ready at the reception for 5am (!!!! ) – I repeat, 5am in the bl00dy morning!!!! Well – it was my idea to do a tour to the floating market, so I had to blame myself.

I was looking forward to November 2018 for a very simple reason – my big sister (age wise, not height wise) arrived in Vietnam to visit her favourite brother (that is me in case anyone is wondering). As she is a big motorbike girl and travelled through countries in Asia and Europe by bike doing a motorbike trip was an obvious choice.

My second last morning on the island started as the previous one – slowly. Unfortunately my plan to attempt another dive day did fail, as the dive centre decided to head back to Turtle Island. So there was no rush in the morning.

One item that was high on my agenda for the visit Phu Quoc was a dive trip. I haven’t dived since my visit to Egypt one year ago, and I realised I really missed it. So this was one of the reason I booked the trip to Phu Quoc (obviously it had nothing to do with the beaches and getting out of the city!!!).
