11.02. – 13.02.2019
New day, same procedure it seems. Getting up far too early (I classify 8am too early during a holiday!!!), enjoying the Maldives breakfast while my better half enjoyed the continental one and then I was off to the pier for my morning dive.
Our second full day was something I was very much looking forward to – seeing the amazing sea life underwater – and over water. Starting with my first dive trip on the Maldives and later the day trying to spot some dolphins.
08.02. – 09.02.2019
After getting shocked that that we once again got cancelled we both ended up in a private speed boat from Humhumale to Dhiffushi. With all the bad luck we had so far I was just happy to be on a boat and getting to an island so our holiday could really start.
This was it – the last day of this so far amazing motorbike trip through the Mekong Delta. I twas time to head back to Saigon. So a last time getting up and packing the bag.
After our bike had a well deserved break it was time to pack our bags again, mount our bikes and depart Can Tho for our next destinations – the Mountains of the Mekong Delta and the certainly non-touristy town of Tri Ton.
After a surprisingly good night sleep (was not waken up by the traffic noise outside) it was time to get ready and meet my sister at the agreed time at 8:30 to continue trip to our next destination – Can Tho. Surprisingly I didn’t make it.
I was looking forward to November 2018 for a very simple reason – my big sister (age wise, not height wise) arrived in Vietnam to visit her favourite brother (that is me in case anyone is wondering). As she is a big motorbike girl and travelled through countries in Asia and Europe by bike doing a motorbike trip was an obvious choice.
